James Ellis Taylor, age 78, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Loretto, TN, retired from construction, and of the Pentecostal Faith. Mr. Taylor served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Ellis and Lillia Bell Nash Taylor; his wife, Betty Rebecca Brown Taylor; one son, James Allen Taylor; and two sisters, Jennifer Sue Taylor and Jane A. Surratt.

He is survived by

Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2017, with Larry Hammonds officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
