Dewey Konig, age 73, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired mechanic with the Federal Government, a member of DAV and VFW Post 1618.  Mr. Konig served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lucille Moore Konig; and two brothers, Gene Konig and Gerry Konig.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 01, 2017, with Gary Hughes and Larry Spears officiating.  Interment will follow at Konig Cemetery in Summertown, TN with full military honors.
