David Leon Thrasher, age 68, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Collinwood, TN, retired truck driver, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Thrasher served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elais Polk and Bessie Viola Berry Thrasher; his wife, Emma Jean Thrasher; three brothers, Roy Thrasher, Glenn Thrasher, and Jackie Thrasher; and one sister, Iva Dean Lindsey.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN at 1:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2016. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood, TN with full military honors.
