Clara Iona Grooms

Clara Iona Grooms, age 87, of Savannah, TN, formerly of Lawrence County, TN, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Hardin Home Nursing Home in Savannah, TN.  She was a native of Leoma, TN, and attended Mt. Horeb Baptist Church and Unity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Isaac and Lucinda Ellen Shultz Grooms; five brothers, Burl Grooms, Earl Grooms, Carl Grooms, James Grooms, and Clyde Grooms; and three sisters, Naomi Weaver, Lacy Burgess and Elise Robinson Butler.

She is survived by

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018, with Jimmy H. Davis officiating.  Interment will follow at Lindsey Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Mission Program or Church Mission Program of your choice.
